Nominator's project description
Professor Andino is a leading scientist in the field of RNA virus biology and has made important contributions to our understanding of virus replication and host-pathogen interactions. He combines innovative experimental and computational methods with mathematical modeling to study the evolutionary behavior of RNA viruses and develop novel vaccines. During his research stay in Germany, he will further explore the interaction of the ubiquitin-proteasome system and autophagy in the context of virus defense mechanisms. |
